No snow days and a required lacrosse rules meeting means a 63 hour work week for me.  Add in commuting and the fact that I take a break for lunch and now we are at 72 hours of time which isn't used for blogging.  Given the facts you can understand why I haven't blogged a whole lot lately and why I'm about to look at the Celtics and Bruins right here, right now.
  • The Celtics are on a three game win streak while the Bruins are alternating between winning and losing.
  • In their last ten games the Celtics are 7-3 while the Bruins are 3-7 (3-5-2).
  • If the NBA went off points instead of just winning % the Celtics would have 50 points with a record of 23-29-4.
  • The Celtics have been outscored by their opponents by an average of 1 point.
  • The Bruins have scored one more goal than their opponents.
  • The Bruins are 9-6-3 (.500) in their division.
  • The Celtics are 7-4 (.636) in their division.
  • The Bruins are holding on to the last playoff spot in the East, would currently be out of it if they played in the West.
  • The Celtics are in a 4 way tie for the last playoff spot in the East, would be out of it if they played in the West.
  • While I could probably look it up and attach some numbers to it, the Celtics are pretty much the "comeback kids", while the Bruins are guilty of giving games away at the end.
  • Trader Danny's deadline deal is working out pretty well for the Celtics as Isaiah Thomas has averaged 22 points per game while the Celtics have gone 3-1 (3-0-1 in hockey language).
  • The Bruins' deadline is approaching.....will they make a deal?  Will it be a good one?
In my opinion the Bruins need to be sellers at the deadline.  I don't think selling some of our high priced players will make the team play any worse than they are. What it will do is allow some of our young guns to be kept on the roster and in camp during the summer.
