The Celtics lost a close one to the Pelicans last night putting them at 13-20 on the season. Although getting an early pick in this year's draft might be beneficial, I'm still not a fan of playing to lose. I'm not saying that the Celtics are doing that, just saying
that playing to lose isn't really something in my competitive makeup. Besides in my lifetime we haven't had much luck with our top picks. Reggie Lewis & Len Bias always come to mind in the extreme cases. Additionally, if you look down the list of Celtics' first round picks there are a few names that worked out (Paul Pierce & Antoine Walker), but a bunch that were total duds.
The Bruins have a 1:00 game against Winnipeg at the Garden. So, there's your plan for this afternoon. Later today it will be time to watch some playoff football. In the AFC I'm pulling for Kansas City and Cincinnati. If you haven't read my post about why I want the Bengals to win you should click here to read it. In the NFC I'll be pulling for Chip and the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay for their fans who will be putting their health in some serious danger just by attending the game.
Stephen Drew is still in limbo for where he will be playing next season. I love this since I absolutely despise Scott Boras. I absolutely hate the whole free agency process and will write more about that in the near future.
In the next week there will be an awful lot of sporting events to experience in Boston. With the Bruins and Celtics heading off for road trips, the Garden will be hosting the US Figure Skating Championships. Frozen Fenway will also continue their festivities through next weekend.
