- In my opinion Wichita State got rooked by the selection committee. Their road to the championship is much more difficult than any other #1 seed. Of course we all expected that long before Selection Sunday.
- A disadvantage that the midmajors have during the tournament that never seems to get talked about is all the tv timeouts. When you watch games this year, pay attention to how many times a midmajor completely loses momentum after a tv timeout. While timeouts always have the capability to change the momentum of a game, I feel that the teams who are used to being on tv don't seem to get effected by it as often.
- While I initially thought that Warren Buffet's bracket contest was a pretty cool idea, it's really just a big scam. In order to sign up you have to submit your name and information into their databases and agree to be contacted by their advertisers. So it's pretty much a way to get all the people who put their names on a no-call list back onto the telemarketers lists. Maybe Richard Branson will come up with a legit "no strings attached" contest bracket next year to one up Buffet.
- Brackets were more fun when you had to watch the games and pay attention to scores at the bottom of the tv screen instead of just looking it up online.
- Brackets were way more fun when being the administrator meant you were armed with photocopies of all the brackets, a sharpie and a highlighter.
- Online brackets are fun for comparing against people across the country that you may not even know.
