Monday was the tenth annual Sweet Feet for Strikes. Originally titled The Mayo Bowl, the event raises funds for the Boston Medical Center.
This year’s event raised over $285,000. All totaled the bowling event has raised just under 3 million dollars for the BMC. The BMC is a private, not-for-profit, 514-bed, academic medical center located in Boston's historic South End. Dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to everyone, they offer a variety of comprehensive healthcare services to adults and children. Their services range from providing food to those in need to emergency medical services.
While the BMC certainly delivers smiles to those in need, Sweet Feet for Strikes brought smiles to everyone in attendance. Regardless if attendees were part of a bowling team or just there to watch and bid on the silent auction items, everyone had a blast.
Since this is an annual event, expect to pencil it on your 2020 calendar. To keep track of events similar to this, be sure to check out Time Out 4 Charity.
