With 65 games played, the Bruins have a total of 87 points. At present, that puts them tied for third with Toronto. The current front runner in the Atlantic is Florida with 94 through 65 games. That being the case I decided to look into how many points the Bruins have given up by allowing last minute goals.
While they've given up plenty of goals at the end of the period, I was just looking at goals given up at the end of the third which had a direct effect on the game. Here is what I found.
January 26th at Colorado- Up 3-2 the Bruins gave up a goal with 37 seconds left in regulation. They then lost in overtime. (Loss of one point- regulation win turned into OTL)
March 1st at Anaheim- Tied 3-3 they gave up the game winner at 19:38. (loss of 1 points- OT turned into regulation loss)
March 5th at Columbus- Up 4-3 the Bruins let the Blue Jackets off the hook with 3 seconds left. In the end the Bruins were victorious in a shootout. (no change in points)
March 7th versus Los Angeles- Ahead 2-1 the Kings made the contest all square with 26 tics left to regulation. They ended up getting the win 2 minutes later. (Loss of 1 point- regulation win turned into OTL)

Luckily for the Bruins, these last minute goals in regulation haven't occurred against teams ahead of them in the division so the amount of points they've given away aren't ending up being double counted. Nevertheless, in total they've lost 3 pretty much guaranteed points in the standings at the last minute. If they had those points they'd currently be in 2nd all by themselves.
