6 MUST HAVES FOR PATRIOTS GAME 6 AGAINST SAN FRAN

If the Patriots don’t want to be 2-4 for the first time in forever here are six things they need to do.
1. Get physical with Kittle. Within that first 5 yards they need to be hitting Kittle from all kinds of different locations so that nothing gets predictable because they won’t be able to match up very well once he gets free.

2. Stop being so soft on third and long. While the Patriots are fourth best at stopping their opponents on third down at 34.62% , they are really struggling with third and long. For comparison, last year they finished the season at 25.6%.
3. Get chunks on first down. Lately the team hasn’t gotten a whole lot of yardage on first down and that really eliminates a lot of playcalling opportunities down the road putting them behind the eight ball. Being back to having a solid line in front of him and some practice, Cam should have a lot more plays available as well as the confidence to make them happen.

4. If they have the ball at the end of the half and there’s an opportunity to go down there and score they need to go for it. This could be one of those games where they just run out of time at the end and they could’ve possibly used three points at the half.
5. Special-teams needs to continue to show up like they have recently. Specifically this is not the time for Folk to suddenly start missing gimmes. Jake Bailey has only been called upon to punt 13 times and he has pinned his opponent inside the 20 9 of them.

6. Winning is easy when you win that turnover battle. The Patriots have been on the wrong side of the turnover battle lately. As the season now stands they are actually dead even with no turnover margin advantage going into this gam. That needs to change.
