I'm sure you've already read my keys to a Patriots victory tonight. Besides the obvious category of points scored, here are some other statistics that the Patriots will need to better the Cardinals with in order to be victorious.
Rushing Yards- Last season the Patriots averaged 87.8 yards rushing per game. If they are going to come home with a win today they will need to be knocking on the door of 200 yards on the ground.
Rushing Attempts- While neither team is usually known for running the ball all too often, the Patriots need to double up Arizona in this category. This is not because I don't have faith in Jimmy G's arm, but due to two pretty obvious reasons.

- The Patriots need to establish a run game early so Chandler Jones doesn't get too physical with Garoppolo.
- Once the run game is established and working, Josh McDaniels needs to go with the if it's not broken don't fix it mentality.
- Having a lead means more running plays for the Patriots and more passes for the Cardinals.
Time of Possession- This is usually a category that we Patriots fans snub our noses at. Well, for the next few weeks we may want to win this silly statistic. Obviously, this will not come into play if our stud defensive unit puts up some points for us, but if it's a close game with little turnovers, I'd much rather have a tired offense than a tired defense.
