I'm sure you've heard by now that Brandon Spikes has made his way to the IR list. So the Patriots' defense will once again have to have another player step in and be the "next man up".
Spikes made his way onto the list via a knee injury. It is worth mentioning that Spikes will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Twenty years ago my lookalike Nancy Kerrigan got a knee injury of her own which kept her out of the National Championships. Kerrigan was clubbed in the right knee by Shane Stant the night before the championships. As it turned out the attack was planned by the ex-husband of Tonya Harding, one of Nancy's fellow competitors. As an aside, during that time while I was always being asked if anyone ever told me I looked like Nancy Kerrigan my good friend Jenn had people she looked like Tonya Harding.
