BRUINS HOPE TO GET 2 POINTS OFF THE BLACKHAWKS TONIGHT

On Monday the Bruins saw their winning streak snapped by backup goalie Peter Budag and his Montreal teammates. Since the game went into overtime, the Bruins still managed to gain a point in the standings. At this point the Bruins have the second greatest amount of points in the NHL and are only one point behind league leading St. Louis. While it's pretty obvious that the Bruins got 2 points for every game that they won during the streak, their recent accumulation of points has been pretty impressive.

Regardless of what the weather does out there in the next 24-48 hours, spring training is almost over and the boys of summer will be playing some games that matter. When that time does finally roll around, I'll be keeping you up to date with what's going on with the Red Sox and giving you my opinion. I already know that I'm a "homer" for my teams, so you don't need to call me out on that. While I try to keep my comments and criticisms focused on what goes on during games and with the making of a team (draft, trades, contracts, etc.), I do sometimes venture out of my box to give my opinion on some sensitive topics. This will be one of those times.

This will be the fourth and final time these two teams will face each other in the regular season this year. With a win the Bruins will split the season season series.

Bruins' fans brought some needed energy to the team as they extended their win streak to 12 games.

With tonight's victory the Bruins have now won 12 games in a row. This is their longest winning streak since 1971. For portions of the game it appeared the Bruins didn't have their legs and would have their streak end in Phoenix. Eventually, the Bruins would get their second wind and be able to match the Coyotes energy level and score.
