Although the consensus around New England is that we don't like Thursday night games, when they happen heading into a long weekend, they are much more palatable. With this short week and sloppy conditions, what are we in for?

First off, the Patriots' defense is fabulous. While the following may convince you that they may occasionally hurt the offense, the fact that they are keeping opponents from scoring at record breaking levels is great and I want that to continue. Under no means am I saying that the Patriots' defense or coaches should make changes to potentially "fix" this "first team" problem.
After last week's battle in Buffalo we got to hear everyone talk about how bad the Patriots offense is. This week I think the topics will be a combination of how the Patriots run up the score on inferior opponents and that the offense hasn't played against anybody yet.
By now you've probably heard that Patriots' long-time kicker Stephen Gostkowski is out for the season with a hip injury. Not wasting any time, the team brought in five kickers to take a look at.
